#MVP Summit 2025

Every year Microsoft host a MVP Summit for the Regional Directors (RDs) and Most Valuable Professionals (MVP's). There is a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) for the information that is shares during this summit, so I can't share this information, but as a new MVP and a first time attendee of the Summit I would like to share my experiences about the summit add the Microsoft Redmond campus with you in this blog post.
MVP Summit 2025
The MVP Summit was hosted this year from the 25th of March till the 27th of March on the Microsoft Redmond campus in Seattle. There was also a Pre and Post-day for the different technology area's.
During the summit you will have the opportunity to talk to the product teams and owners, other MVP's, get to know the other community people and attend in depth sessions. All information is part of the NDA agreement that you will sign with the entitlement of becoming an MVP.
Badge Pick-up & MVP Wall
A registration is needed to participate and to visit the Summit in real life. There is a limited space for visiting and the registration opent already in December 2024.
At the summit you can pick-up your badge, there is a proof of identity to ensure the right person will get there badge. Badge Pick-up was in building 33. In this building there was also the famous MVP Wall, so you can find your name and get a picture, along with all the MVP's around the world. 👇 This is a famous photo moment.
Campus
The Microsoft Redmond campus consists of many buildings. It is a large business area for one single company, especially for Dutch standards. Most of my sessions were held in the same building or a buildings nearby, but depending on your interests and technology orientation, there is a chance that the sessions are further apart, since they are held all over campus.
To get to the different buildings, you can choose to walk or take a shuttle, depending on the weather (rain is apparently pretty standard in Seattle) or personal preference. I did both 😉.
It is a lot of fun to walk around the campus. It is located in a beautiful area with many trees and the different types of buildings are nice to look at. You also have the chance to meet and chat with other people during your walk or you can take your time to catch up with home during your walk.
Taking a shuttle is pretty easy. In the buildings you can book a shuttle from a terminal and the waiting time is minimal. When booking, you can indicate how many people are in your group and where you want to go. You will see these shuttles driving up and down between the buildings all day long.
The Famous Microsoft Logo's
When you are on the campus, you can take the opportunity the visit and to take a picture of the famous Microsoft Sign's. 👇 Two of them are vary famous. The Sign at building 92 (left photo), and the new sign at building 8 and 6 (right photo).
Don't be afraid to feel like a tourist, because a lot of people are taking pictures with these sign's. In building 92 there is also the company store, and the smal museum with mile stones of the Microsoft products and the founding member, really nice to spend some time here.
Collect your SWAG
The MVP Summit is the perfect place to get some SWAG (Free items) like shirts and stickers. Stickers are everywhere and some technology areas give free items. The Microsoft Company Store will have some special items available during the Summit, these items can be purchased at a discount. This year you could pick up an MVP certificate and print a bag or shirt.

Let's connect
In addition to gaining technical information and working with the product teams to make improvements to the products, the summit is also an opportunity to connect with fellow MVPs from all over the world. There a lot of network mixers hosted after the session, some are open for all and some are more for the technology area you are in. Either way is a great way to connect with your existing connections and to also make some new ones.
